Labourer – Belfast (Permanent, Full-Time)
Role Overview
EQUANS is hiring for a permanent, full-time Labourer based in Belfast, with a 40-hour workweek. Salary on offer is up to £27,000 per annum, plus:
- Company van and fuel card

About the Role
The Labourer will support skilled tradespeople while contributing to the upkeep and maintenance of residential and commercial properties for the company. This hands-on, fast-paced role involves a variety of manual tasks to ensure construction and maintenance projects are completed efficiently and safely.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, joiners, etc.) with everyday tasks.
- Conduct basic repairs and maintenance work as instructed.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
- Prepare and clean job sites before and after work.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling of materials.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure workplace.
- Operate basic construction equipment and tools.
- Perform general labour tasks, including digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects. (Note: Can be reasonably tasked by management)
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Demonstrate customer service skills if interacting with clients.

Who We’re Looking For
Key Skills & Requirements
Mandatory:
- Basic construction knowledge, understanding of tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as a team.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety in Construction (though Level 1 qualification can be obtained during induction if lacking).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid CSCS Labourer card (required).
- Full UK/NI driving licence (valid).
Desirable (but not mandatory):
- Additional site-based certifications (e.g., Asbestos Awareness).
