Labourer

Labourer – Construction (Full-time, Permanent)

Location: Wirral / North West

Salary: Up to £26,400 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Concept Projects Group is looking for a proactive and motivated Labourer to join our construction project team.

This is a hands-on role supporting site operations across a range of industrial, engineering, civil and fit-out projects across the North West, primarily in the Wirral.

About the Role

As a Labourer, you will work alongside construction multi-trade operatives, senior builders and site supervisors to support the delivery of high-quality projects while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety.

This role suits someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, and is eager to develop within a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist skilled tradespeople on site
  • Prepare work areas before tasks begin
  • Load, unload and move materials and equipment
  • Carry out basic demolition and strip-out works
  • Mix materials such as cement or adhesives when required
  • Keep sites clean, tidy and free from hazards
  • Set up and dismantle temporary structures, such as barriers and protection
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
  • Follow site health and safety procedures at all times
  • Wear and maintain PPE correctly
  • Assist with deliveries and checking materials
  • Remove waste and sort materials for disposal or recycling
  • Report hazards, defects or unsafe conditions to site supervisors

Skills and Experience Required

  • Keen interest in a construction-based role
  • General maintenance skills or willingness to develop these skills
  • Good communication skills, as this will be a client-facing role
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to travel to sites across the North West
