JOB TITLE: Labourer LOCATION: York CONTRACT TYPE: Full-Time (Temporary Contract – 12+ months)

Are you a hardworking and reliable Labourer, ready to make a difference? GRAHAM Construction is looking for an experienced Labourer to join our team in delivering a £28m upgrade at the National Railway Museum in York. The project starts on 3rd August, but we are hiring now—secure your place early!
Duties Will Include
- Undertaking general housekeeping duties while maintaining a high standard of site cleanliness across the site compound, site entrance, litter picking, and walkways upkeep.
- Monitoring waste streams in skips, reporting to site management when exchanges are needed.
- Checking and maintaining full site boundaries before and after shifts to ensure outside areas are pristine.
- Reporting general hazards on site.
- Managing GRAHAM Construction’s store.
- Cleaning lorry wheels daily before leaving the site, involving physical lifting and general labour.
- Maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders while behaving professionally.
- Conducting all duties in a reliable, flexible, constructive manner.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working on commercial construction sites.
- Ability to work independently while exercising initiative.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to demonstrate flexibility in working hours (typically 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM).
- Sound administration skills with an understanding of accurate paperwork.
- Familiarity with basic IT tasks, particularly the use of tablets and apps.
- CSCS Labourer Card (minimal required).
- Commute from a location considered commutable from the York site.
- Sufficient physical fitness and stamina to carry out the job’s requirements.
- Competitive team player attitude.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Desirable Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence.
