Are you a LabVIEW Engineer who enjoys developing software that directly interacts with real-world hardware?
We're looking for a LabVIEW Software Engineer to join a specialist team developing advanced semiconductor metrology technology. You'll design and build the software responsible for controlling hardware, acquiring data and enabling highly precise measurement systems used in next-generation semiconductor manufacturing.
This is an opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges where software, electronics, physics and precision instrumentation come together.
Whether your background is LabVIEW development, test and measurement, instrumentation, automation or control systems, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Developing LabVIEW Real-Time software for measurement, control and data acquisition systems
- Building FPGA functionality using LabVIEW FPGA and NI FlexRIO platforms
- Developing high-speed data processing and communication pipelines
- Managing communication between real-time controllers and FPGA hardware using DMA and synchronisation techniques
- Writing clean, maintainable and scalable production software
- Working closely with systems, R&D and applications engineers to develop robust technical solutions
- Supporting software verification activities on simulation platforms and physical hardware
- Contributing to code reviews, testing improvements and engineering best practice
- Working within Agile sprint cycles alongside a highly collaborative engineering team
- Documenting designs and maintaining technical knowledge across projects

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
