We are exclusively recruiting for our client, Lagom Sports Compliance (www.lagomsportscompliance.com), looking for well-connected football sector advisers who can help open doors with clubs, agents and football decision-makers across the UK and Europe for a remunerated commercial advisory position with commission and profit-share potential.
Lagom Sports Compliance is a specialist compliance business built for football to help clubs, agents and football counterparties respond to the Football Governance Act 2025, UEFA Club Licensing & Financial Sustainability Regulations and the incoming EU AML obligations for professional football, are now looking to build a small commercial advisory board of people who understand the football market and have trusted relationships across clubs, agencies, ownership groups and the wider professional football ecosystem. The role would include:
- Introduce Lagom Sports Compliance to relevant clubs, agents and football-sector contacts
- Help us understand how football clubs and agencies buy professional services
- Advise on decision-makers within clubs, agencies, ownership groups & governing bodies
- Sense-check our commercial proposition and market messaging
- Support our growth across the UK and selected EU football markets

Thus Lagom are looking for people with genuine relationships, sound judgement and the credibility to start meaningful conversations hence are particularly interested in hearing from:
- Former professional footballers with strong club, agent or ownership networks
- Former club CEOs, CFOs, COOs, commercial directors, sporting directors or GCs
- Former senior management within football clubs, leagues, federations or agencies
- Current or former agents, agency executives or intermediary specialists
- People who have successfully sold professional services into football clubs, including consulting, legal, accounting, corporate finance, governance, risk or regulatory services
- Senior sports business professionals with relationships across UK or European football
NB This is a part-time advisory position thus the expected commitment will be light-touch but meaningful and likely involving periodic calls, strategic input and relevant introductions.

Advisory board members will be able to earn commission on qualifying introductions that convert into paid client engagements. In addition, advisers may also earn an agreed percentage of annual profits, linked to their role, contribution and the commercial value they help create for the business. The precise structure will be agreed individually and confirmed in writing. We expect this to include a blend of introduction commission and earned annual profit-share, depending on experience, network strength and level of involvement.
