Land and Property Estates Officer
Land and Property Estates Officer – Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council
Role Overview We are recruiting for a Land and Property Estates Officer to join our team, offering a fantastic opportunity to manage the Council’s diverse property portfolio and support the delivery of top-tier estate management services.
Reporting to the Land and Property Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising commercial land and property assets while ensuring efficient estate utilisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate lease renewals and rent reviews to maximise value
- Oversee tenant relations, ensuring positive working partnerships
- Support property acquisitions and disposals to meet Council objectives
- Deliver and manage property-related projects for future development
- Conduct site visits, monitor maintenance activities, and enforce due compliance with legal and safety standards

This role provides varied, hands-on work—no two days are the same—where you’ll work on a wide array of property matters while contributing to key priorities for the Council.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in property or estate management with a strong understanding of landlord and tenant obligations
- Proactive communication skills with ability to negotiate effectively
- Strong ability to organise workloads and manage multiple caseloads independently
- A team-focused mindset and ability to foster positive relationships with tenants and stakeholders

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in property, surveying, facilities management, or a related field
- Experience handling leases, rent reviews or property transactions (highly advisable)
- Exceptional organisational skills and problem-solving aptitude
