Company Description

Red Loft is a housing development and regeneration consultancy based in London. We work with Registered Providers, Local Authorities, and Developers throughout London, the South East, and South West. Our work includes managing development projects from concept through to completion, as well as a diverse range of development consultancy advice and services, including feasibility reports, financial viability assessments, land finding and agency, development strategies and procedures, development mentoring and training, Homes England and GLA compliance, and Shared Ownership sales, marketing, and letting services.

Role Description

We are passionate about delivering affordable housing and are looking for a Development Consultant to join our Land & Viability Team who shares our enthusiasm. Graduate applicants will also be considered.

The role will involve undertaking assessments of development and regeneration projects, financial viability reports, conducting market research, promoting land, site finding, and providing informed advice related to affordable housing. This list of tasks and responsibilities is not exhaustive; the postholder may undertake other duties as required.

As part of our small but highly skilled team, you will develop your competencies under the mentoring/supervision of senior team members. We also provide opportunities for cross-functional collaboration with the Development and Sales departments of Red Loft.

Qualifications

  • A degree and background in Surveying (Real Estate), Town Planning, or Urban Studies.
  • In-depth understanding of development appraisals.
  • Autonomous task and time management skills, demonstrating initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good awareness of industry trends and dynamics.
  • Ability to analyse market intelligence and competitor activities.
  • Ability to produce professional and well-structured reports.

Desirable

  • One to two years’ experience of working in the residential property sector.
