Pay & Hours

  • £14.80 per hour
  • Working hours: Mon-Fri, 11:00-16:00, 3/4 times per week
  • Overtime opportunities available in Guest Services subject to operational demand

Role Purpose

The Land Train Driver operates a low-speed electric visitor transport service within Battersea Power Station, ensuring: ✔ Safe and professional operation of the Land Train on a fixed route ✔ Enhanced accessibility for visitors, including families, elderly guests, and those with mobility needs ✔ Exceptional guest experience with welcoming, reliable, and safe transport

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strict adherence to operational procedures, speed limits (max 4mph; 1mph at bumps), and pedestrian safety
  • Proactive, inclusive customer service aligned with Ethos Farm’s "Power of Hello" philosophy
  • Collaboration with Security, Site Control, and Duty Managers
  • Handling writes-ups gracefully and maintaining a high-profile safety presence

Core Objectives

  • Operate the Land Train safely and professionally, directly contributing to guest satisfaction.
  • Prioritise accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring mobility-challenged guests have seamless options.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, site protocols, and seasonal conditions.
  • Elevate guest interactions through warmth, proactivity, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Uphold Ethos Farm values:
    • Teamwork: Communicate, support colleagues, and adapt to operational shifts.
    • Be punctual, well-informed, and compliant with company training.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Procedural Compliance

  • Operate Land Train only on designated routes and approved stops
  • Conduct full pre-operation & post-operation checks
  • Strict speed enforcement (max 4mph; 1mph near speed bumps)
  • Comply with pedestrian zone safety—guiding clear passage
  • Suspend operations for site requirements or hazardous conditions

Guest Engagement & Service Excellence

  • "Power of Hello" – Deliver personalised, confident service with:
    • Clear wayfinding
    • Proactive guidance
    • Issue resolution to ensure seamless visits
  • Assist with boarding/disembarking, catering extra support for vulnerable groups
  • Actively engage with guests for directions, information, and safety reassurance

Security & Teamwork

  • Support begining-of-day access control (e.g., signing in guests, reporting concerns)
  • Partner with security teams to maintain safe site conditions
  • Assist Guest Services team during operations
