Land Train Driver - Ethos Farm

Land Train Driver

Reports to: Guest Services Team Manager


Location: Circus Rd W, Nine Elms, London SW11 8DD

Pay: £14.80 per hour

Working Hours: 11:00–16:00 (3–4 times per week)

Overtime Opportunity: Additional shifts available in Guest Services, subject to operational demand.

Role Purpose

This is a guest-facing, operational role within the Land Train service—a low-speed electric visitor transport system designed to enhance accessibility and elevate guest experience across the site. As a Land Train Driver, you will:

  • Safely and professionally operate the Land Train on its fixed route
  • Prioritise accessibility for all guests, especially families, elderly visitors, and those with mobility considerations
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, upholding high standards in a public safety-conscious environment
  • Ensure compliance with all operational safety protocols, speed limits (<= 4mph), and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain street-level visibility and proactively foster a welcoming atmosphere

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Technical Operations

  • Operate the Land Train exclusively on designated routes and stops
  • Fulfil pre-operation/post-operation checks to ensure vehicle safety
  • Adhere strictly to pedestrian safety protocols (1mph at speed bumps, 4mph max)
  • Chancell safely managing passenger behaviour and intervening authoritatively in unsafe situations

Customer & Site Support

  • Assist passengers board/dismount the train with attention to inclusivity
  • Maintain real-time communication with Security, Operations, and Team Leaders
  • Proactively provide wayfinding, directions, and site information to guests
  • Staff site security by vetting/identifying visitors, remaining vigilant to safety risks

Customer Interaction

  • Embrace the "Power of Hello" ethos:
    • Deliver a friendly, personalised welcome
    • Offer proactive assistance, guidance, and problem resolution
    • Anticipate needs and project enthusiasm

Team Engagement & Punctuality

  • Collaborate as part of a cohesive Guest Services team
  • Stay informed through company training material
  • Maintain punctuality and adapt to operational shifts
