Landscape Architect
At SLR we believe strongly in the influence of landscape architecture to shape and lead our interaction with the natural and built environment, in a way that is responsible and innovative, helping to tackle the climate emergency and set the agenda for a more sustainable way of living. The role Working alongside other experienced and passionate landscape architects, this role offers the chance to get involved in wide range of landscape planning, masterplanning and design projects across various sectors, with a focus on natural and built environment. These projects are located throughout the UK and Ireland, with a range of public and private sector clients, some at the early planning stages, others moving towards implementation and some already on site. This array of opportunity would allow you to further develop your career in Landscape Architecture and gradually focus in on a chosen field. We aim to introduce you to project and client work early on, maximising your performance in your role and kick-starting your career, whilst providing hands-on support and mentorship at all stages. Depending on the stage of your career, we would assist you with enrolling or continuing with the Pathway to Chartership. You would receive support from a P2C mentor, other graduates enrolled, experienced members of the team and given the multi-discipline nature of SLR, members of other teams such as ecology and engineering. The Place team The Place team is SLR’s design team made up of Landscape Architects, Masterplanners, Urban Designers, Architects, Visualisation Specialists and Graphic Technicians. We work across a range of sectors and cover an array of specialisms, but all aligning on one key principle; to protect and improve the natural and built environment, driven by sustainability. Where possible we work together to shape and design places in a creative and design-led way, whilst also addressing further challenges such as housing delivery, climate resilience, biodiversity net gain and net zero to name just a few. About you We are looking for enthusiastic Landscape Architects to join SLR’s dynamic, multi-disciplined Landscape, Design and Assessment teams in Bristol, Edinburgh, London, Manchester and Newcastle. We seek creative, passionate graduates who are eager to develop their knowledge and skillsets. We have opportunities in landscape design and landscape planning, and options to get involved in the range of sectors including public realm, built environment and energy. We are ideally looking for landscape architects with 1-3 years of experience from a registered UK Landscape Institute accredited course who are interested in working towards chartership.
