Landscape Architect (1–3 Years' Experience)
Creating places where people and nature thrive.
Are you a creative Landscape Architect looking to help shape places that make a real difference?
At Outerspace, we believe great places are created by understanding people, nature, and the unique story of every site. We're looking for a talented Landscape Architect to join our busy studio and become part of a collaborative team delivering award-winning projects across the UK.
Our work spans residential, education, commercial, public realm, and regeneration projects, giving you the opportunity to contribute to an exciting portfolio from concept through to delivery.
Why work at Outerspace?
Outerspace is an award-winning landscape architecture, urban design, and community engagement consultancy based at the beautiful Boathouse Design Studio in Teddington.
Since 2002 we've been creating distinctive places by combining creativity, sustainability, and practical delivery. We work with local authorities, housing associations, developers, and communities to unlock the full potential of places; from town centre regeneration strategies to detailed public realm and landscape design.
Our approach
Everything we do is guided by five core principles:
- We Stand by Communities: helping bring their aspirations to life.
- We Fight for Biodiversity: creating places where people and nature flourish together.
- We Champion Inclusivity: so that spaces are generous, intuitive, and open.
- We Cherish Every Resource: reducing waste and utilizing existing materials.
- We Celebrate the Spirit of Every Place: its history, ecology, community, and character.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
