Landscape Architect or Garden Designer

We have an opportunity for a Landscape Architect or Garden Designer to join the design team at Rob Hardy & Co, based in our office on the beautiful Harewood estate.

We are happy to consider part time or full time, or perhaps even on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate is a creative person who is motivated, enthusiastic and an organised team player – someone who is keen to build the team’s reputation for excellence.

A good knowledge of Vectorworks is required. We appreciate that you may have been trained in an alternative CAD software, so we would provide the support to enable you to transition to Vectorworks.

You will play a key role in our design team alongside our Project Support with main duties to support Rob and work alongside the employed and freelance designers that form our team.

We are a passionate and collaborative team, and you must be able to work to the highest standard, delivering projects on time and to the quality that our clients have come to expect.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
