As part of this growth, we're hiring Landscape Construction Operatives to help connect rural homes and businesses to our network. Whether you have experience in fibre installation, utilities, landscaping or general construction, if you're practical, motivated, and ready to learn—we want to hear from you.

Please note a full UK Driving license is required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install fibre infrastructure from the garden boundary to the property termination point, ensuring high standards are delivered at all times.
  • Interpret and update digital as-built maps to accurately record completed works using company systems.
  • Conduct daily equipment and machinery checks to maintain operational safety and efficiency.
  • Work within underground networks, including Openreach PIA and Wessex Internet's own infrastructure.
  • Carry out site surveys to assess, plan and complete future installations.
  • Engage with customers to agree the most practical and unobtrusive fibre route, avoiding existing garden services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless job execution and timely completion.

What We're Looking For:

  • Reliability: We need people who show up consistently and are dependable.
  • Punctuality: Being on time is non-negotiable.
  • Switched-On Attitude: You must be alert, safety-conscious, and able to think on your feet.
  • Team Player: You'll be working closely with others, so good communication and cooperation are vital.
  • Self-Motivation: You'll often be trusted to work in small teams or with minimal supervision once fully trained.
  • Comfortable working at height and undertaking physically demanding outdoor work, including manual handling activities and working in varying weather conditions.

Desirable (but not essential - qualifications can be provided post-probation):

  • NPORS 360 excavator (under 10t)
  • PIA accreditations (SA001, SA002, S7, S8)
  • NRSWA / IPAF certification
