About the Project
The National Grid-funded Landscape Enhancement Initiative is collaborating with 20 farms in the North Wessex Downs Southern Streams Farmer Group located in Wiltshire. This project aims to:
- Preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the North Wessex Downs
- Protect cultural heritage
- Boost biodiversity
- Increase public access to the countryside, enabling more people to benefit from improved health and well-being.
The Role – Project Support Officer
The Project Support Officer will be crucial in delivering the Landscape Enhancement Initiative by managing:

- Project coordination
- Financial management (budget monitoring)
- Reporting compliance (ensuring all funding requirements are met)
- Stakeholder collaboration (farmer engagement & partner working)
- Data analysis
- ** Administrative duties** (record-keeping & record maintenance)
- Communication support (close work with the Communications Officer across all external and internal outreach)
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets and progress, ensuring financial accountability
- Oversee partnership engagement to maintain trust and cohesion among stakeholders
- Compile and present analysis reports for project performance
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Assist in picnic comms preparation, working with the Communications Officer
- Support workshops, events & outreach initiatives under guidance

Salary & Commitments
- Pay scale: £31,537 – £33,699 per annum
- Hours per week: 37
- Fixed-term contract (until July 2027)
- Closing date: Sunday 19th July 2026 at midnight
- Interview date: Tuesday 28th July 2026
