Landscape Technician

Bromley – covering the South London area

£29,912 - £31,486 per year

40 hours per week

We are looking for a Landscape Technician to join our Estate Service team based in South London. The role will involve lawn mowing, strimming, hedge/shrub pruning, and litter picking. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and a well-organised team player with good interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in the horticultural grounds maintenance sector and will know how to operate garden tools and powered machinery.

The role of Landscape Technician will include:

  • Maintain estates in accordance with grounds maintenance contract specifications, applying basic horticultural practices
  • Undertaking grounds maintenance duties such as grass cutting, pruning, weed/moss treatment
  • Ensuring all tools and equipment such as hedge trimmers, strimmers, and all relevant hand tools are maintained in good, workable condition and are operated within a safe manner
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of tasks, completing daily work records as appropriate
  • Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines and in a safe manner, ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements

Skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is required
  • Relevant horticultural qualification required
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to manage and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
