Landside Operative (Class 1 Driver) LHR Airport
Drive the operation that keeps global cargo moving. At dnata, we're looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver / Landside Operative to join our fast-paced Heathrow operation. If you're safety-focused, thrive under pressure, and enjoy being part of a team that plays a critical role in the aviation industry, we'd love to hear from you. Based at Heathrow Airport, you'll be at the heart of a 24/7 logistics network, making time-critical deliveries and supporting the movement of cargo across the UK.

The Role
As a Landside Operative (Class 1 Driver), you'll be responsible for transporting and handling airfreight within strict deadlines, ensuring cargo is delivered safely, securely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving Class 1 vehicles on time-critical routes throughout the UK.
- Loading and unloading freight using roller bed systems.
- Maintaining the security and integrity of all cargo.
- Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and aviation regulations.
- Working collaboratively within a busy airport logistics operation.
- Promoting a culture of safety, professionalism and operational excellence.

What We're Looking For
We're seeking reliable, motivated individuals who can work independently and remain calm in a demanding environment.
Essential requirements:
✅ Valid C&E (Class 1) UK Driving Licence
✅ Driver CPC qualification
✅ Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Current ADR Licence
✅ Knowledge of UK transport legislation
✅ Strong time-management and organisational skills
✅ Commitment to safety and security standards
✅ Flexible approach to shift working within a 24/7 operation
Desirable:
- Previous experience loading and unloading airfreight or similar cargo operations.
- FLT (Fork Lift Truck) Licence.

Working Pattern
- 42 hours per week
- 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern
- Days and nights
- Flexibility required to support our 24-hour operation.
