Language Checker Coordinator

London, Hybrid Working Available (Casual Contract Role)

We are looking for a Language Checker Coordinator to join our Audio Post Production team in London. This is a fast-paced, coordination-focused role that will help keep daily “As Recorded” scripts accurate, maintain project integrity, and streamline audio and dialogue checks across active projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Script & Audio Quality Assurance:

    • Proofread and conduct QA checks of audio files against dialogue scripts, including transcription and review processes.
    • Adjust “As Recorded” scripts, removing redundant text, fixing grammar issues, and line-by-line notes as needed.
    • Identify and flag issues such as pronunciation mistakes, textual inaccuracies, or script inconsistencies.
  • Project Coordination:

    • Ensure active projects are well-organised, with accurate script updates, audio checks and LQA tracker maintenance.
    • Keep project files, team servers, and tracking systems up to date with deadlines and requirements.
    • Assist with data entry, project tracking, and day-to-day administrative tasks for fast-paced workflows.

  • Collaboration & Workflow Support:

    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (such as audio editors, producers, and client teams) and external linguistic talent to secure consistency.
    • Support in sourcing and managing translation/localisation specialists for new projects.
    • Introduce and train new team members in language checking workflows, adhering to side’s production protocols.
  • General Post-Production Assistance:

    • Support broader audio post-production tasks, such as workload allocation, documentation and team documentation.

What You Bring

Essential:

  • Excel and Google Sheets expertise, including proficient conditional formatting, filtering, and analytical techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace (Doc, Sheets, Drive, etc.).
  • Fluid written and verbal communication skills, especially when working with technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Disciplined organisational skills, able to juggle multiple projects concurrently and deliver without errors.
  • High attention to attention to detail when reviewing scripts, audio materials, and project documentation.
  • Comfortability working in a fast-paced, ever-shifting production environment.
  • Proactive, driven mindset with a collaborative approach across all levels of the business.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Google Apps Script or equivalent automation tools.
  • Background or interest in games, audio production, localisation, LQA, or media hardware/text management platforms.
  • Familiarity working with scripts, transcripts, subtitles, dialogue manipulation or project-tracking systems.
