Language Operations Lead

12 Month Contract

Hybrid 3 days per week from Galway, Ireland or Guildford, UK

The Language Operations Lead reports to the Sr. Manager, Content Design & Localization. In this role, you will own our operating model for planning, prioritizing, routing, measuring, and improving language support across Fan Care. You will partner closely with central Localization, Self Service, and Fan Care teams to ensure our multilingual support is scalable, market-aware, and aligned to player needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead language support across Self-Service and other support experiences to deliver localization that meets player and market needs.
  • Partner closely with our Localization, Fan Care, and Self-Service teams to align priorities and create high-quality, localized experiences.
  • Determine when to use human translators, machine translation, AI-assisted tools, or a mix to maximize speed, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Analyze performance data across languages, locales, and channels to deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Identify regional opportunities to improve our language coverage, cultural relevance, terminology, and tone.
  • Coordinate localization early in the planning phases for new and existing player-facing initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in localization, customer support operations, program management, or content operations.
  • Experience leading localized content, multilingual programs, or localization operations at scale.
  • Deep knowledge of translation workflows, vendor management, and AI-assisted translation tools.
  • Proven ability to design scalable workflows, manage budgets, analyze KPIs, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in localization, linguistics, project management, or operations.
  • Experience with AI evaluation, translation management systems, or multilingual quality frameworks.
  • Experience supporting player help or digital customer experience programs in gaming or tech.
