Job Title
LARGE AND COMPLEX LOSS PI CLAIMS HANDLER
Location: UK
Hybrid working just 1/2 office days a month - can be based anywhere in the UK.
Clark James Insurance Recruitment are working with one of the fastest growing insurance companies in the UK with ambitious growth plans. As a result of such positive business growth, they are looking to strengthen the claims team by recruiting 2 Large & Complex Loss Handlers to join the existing team of market leading specialists, handling RTA personal injury claims valued between £250k to £3/4 million.
The company are specifically looking for recent experience with an Insurer as relationships with Reinsurers are critical so sadly candidates with purely legal/solicitor experience would not suit this position and you will be comfortable dealing with claims around the £750k - £1 million mark regularly.

The successful candidate will be responsible for their own caseload of new and existing Fast and Multi track Third Party claims, setting and maintaining accurate reserves and have a proven ability to negotiate proactive settlements in a timely manner.
As an individual with a proven technical expertise you will also assist in the technical development of the Large Loss team providing coaching and training where required along with ensuring best practice is adopted.

Essential Skills/Knowledge
- Minimum of 7 years experience within the insurance industry (motor) in a claims handling role.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in handling personal injury claims (motor), with knowledge and experience in handling Multi Track claims.
- Substantial knowledge and experience of settling claims in excess of £250,000.
