About the role Sulzer has a long, proud history of engineering excellence and we’re now expanding our reach even further. We’re looking for an experienced Large Machine Specialist to help shape the next chapter of our international growth. If you're driven by complex technical challenges, thrive in front of customers, and want to influence major industrial projects across global markets, this could be your ideal move. What You’ll Do Drive order intake by supporting our regional sales teams and turning high‑value opportunities into delivered projects. Act as the technical authority on large machines (690V and above), advising customers and internal teams alike. Visit key accounts across the UK and overseas, strengthening relationships and positioning Sulzer as the supplier of choice. Co‑develop account strategies, opportunity pipelines, and tailored solutions alongside Sales and Key Account Managers. Provide expert input into RFI/RFP proposals, ensuring we offer the most robust and commercially sound solutions. Keep the pipeline flowing through Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and project visibility. Build strong networks with engineering, purchasing, and project stakeholders — from first conversation to successful delivery. This is a role where your know‑how genuinely makes the difference What You Bring We’re looking for someone who can combine technical expertise with commercial instinct: Proven experience working with large motors or rotating equipment. A track record of developing opportunities into successful orders. Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills. Confidence in customer‑facing situations and a talent for building trust. Solid understanding of CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a bonus). A flexible, self‑driven approach and the willingness to travel internationally. Why This Role Matters Large machines are a cornerstone of our service offering — and the demand is expanding beyond UK borders. This role gives you the platform to: Directly shape Sulzer’s international growth. Strengthen customer relationships in new global markets. Bring new ideas, technical solutions, and account strategies to life. Play a vital part in the continued development of a high‑value service line. You'll be stepping into a well‑established capability, with the opportunity to take it further than ever before. What we offer you Highly autonomous, home‑based role with full ownership of your schedule and the freedom to manage your own diary. Competitive base salary with an annual performance‑related bonus (including accelerators). Choice of a company car or car allowance. Aviva Private Medical Insurance (individual cover) plus a comprehensive benefits package. Global travel and the opportunity to work on major, high‑profile industrial projects. Significant autonomy, technical influence, and real visibility within the organisation. Join a supportive, expert team within a globally recognised engineering leader.
