Broxap

Broxap is a successful family-owned business and is amongst the UK market leaders in the design, manufacture, and installation of high-quality structural, architectural metalwork, and street furniture products using a range of materials: mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, castings, glass, polycarbonate.

We are seeking an experienced Laser Machine Operator to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining our busy Laser Cutter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Amada Laser Cutter.
  • Ensure the correct programs are cut in the appropriate sequence.
  • Load the auto sheet loading tower with the correct materials in the designated stations.
  • Efficiently unload the laser cut parts from the tower and sort onto pallets/locations for delivery into the relevant fabrication shops.
  • Label the laser cut parts with the correct works order.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping, ensuring that the cleaning of critical components is carried out to a strict regime. This includes, but is not limited to, gas levels, critical components, waste trays, and consumables.
  • Carry out the daily setup to ensure accurate focal and laser beam/cutter operation.
  • Achieve a clean and burr-free cut.
  • Organise “Lights out” cutting. The laser machine is programmed to cut and load throughout the night.
  • Inspect finished products for quality.
  • Keeping material stocks at agreed levels at all times to ensure the machine is always running, thereby eliminating downtime with material stock outs.
  • Assist other areas of the business as and when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
