About Rocket Factory Augsburg

At Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA), we have one clear goal: to create low-cost, flexible, and reliable access to space. We specialize in building small launch vehicles designed to deploy satellites into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and beyond. Together with you, we aim to revolutionize space services and help improve life on Earth. Sounds interesting? Then join our journey and become part of the team driving the New Space movement in Europe.

This role will require you to be based either through rotations or relocation at the launch site on the isle of Unst in the Shetland Islands.

Your Tasks

  • Lead in the iteration and implementation of RFA health and safety policy and procedures at the launch site
  • Produce, implement and maintain required procedures to ensure safe day-to-day operations at the launch site

  • Arrange and, where suitable, carry out trainings on safety systems and site inductions
  • Work with the procurement teams to ensure that suitable PPE, and other safety-related equipment is in place and kept to a suitable standard
  • Outside of core Health and Safety related responsibilities, support the build, maintenance and operation of the launch site
  • Manage and produce documentation for day-to-day operations on site (RAMS, COSH) relevant for a wide range of work; lifts, work at height, enclosed space work, hot works, and work with electrical and pressure systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
