Job Description
Role Overview
Job Title: Laundry Valet, Casual (0-hour contract) Department: Housekeeping Reporting To: Laundry Supervisor Salary: £18.27 per hour (inclusive of service charge) Shifts: 06:30 – 15:00 (early shift) or 15:00 – 23:30 (late shift) Availability Required: Monday to Sunday (flexibility across both shift types is essential)
Your Purpose
To be at the core of our operations, delivering high standards in handling:
- Guest and colleague laundry
- Dry cleaning and pressing
- Linen preparation for daily team workflows
You will contribute to an environment where attention to detail, ** Professionalism**, and Customer care are key.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Daily Operations
- Deliver high-quality processing of laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing services for guests and colleagues.
- Safely pack, unpack, and assist with room move services for residents.
- Charging and recording guest items accurately to maintain accurate inventory and billing.
- Perform garment repairs and sewing tasks.

Equipment Handling
- Operate laundry equipment (including washing machines, dryers, irons, and shampoo machines) safely and effectively.
- Assist in managing linen stocks and inventory control.
Guest & Team Engagement
- Handle guest requests, personal belongings, and personal effects with care, discretion, and security.
- Promote a “one-team mindset” by collaborating on stock delivery and replenishment.
- Ensure all guest communications align with service standards.
Quality & Hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the linen room and equipment at all times.
Additional Tasks
- Undertake darsh-related duties as directed by Housekeeping leadership.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- The ability to prioritise and organise workloads effectively.
- A warm, enthusiastic, and positive attitude—capable of building trusting relationships with colleagues and guests.
- Ability to work under pressure and at high speed, as required.
- Physically capable of:
- Kneeling, lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching
- CAN DO attitude—ability to adapt to changes flexibly.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail to avoid avoidable errors.
- Highly responsible, with the ability to:
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Follow directions using thorough execution.
- Motivation to develop skills in areas such as:
- Luggage services
- Laundry operations
- Additional equipment (e.g., shampoo machines, dry-cleaning processes).

Desirable Experience
- 1+ years in the hospitality industry recommended.
- 6+ months of laundry experience preferable.
- Flexibility in Shifts availability (Monday–Sunday).
