About the Role
Our client located in Central London are looking for an accomplished Law Costs Draftsperson to join their leading litigation team, where your expertise will genuinely help shape the department’s success. Hybrid after probation along with other additional benefits!
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Detailed Assessment Proceedings
- Drafting / preparing inter partes bills of costs, and points of reply/dispute.
- Overseeing the Issuing of the Notice of Commencement and associated documents.
- Attendance upon Detailed Assessment Hearing as and when necessary
- Drafting N260.
- Liasing with solicitors and counsel.
- Drafting Precedent H, Precedent R and Precedent T.
- Negotiation of costs budgets in County Court and High Court proceedings, including, where appropriate, attendance at Costs & Case Management Conferences.
- Providing technical / costs guidance to fee earners where required.
- Maintaining accurate time costing procedures.
- Contributing to internal training and the ongoing development of costs management processes.

This is not Legal Aid and is Private work. Candidates must currently work in Private
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience and be a confident negotiator with a strong knowledge of CPR Part 47 proceedings
- Must be currently working in Private - not legal aid
- You will be working independently within a supportive team and will be provided with a high degree of autonomy. The candidate will have a strong knowledge of costs recovery processes, CPR and costs-related case law.
