Director – Law Firm Advisory

About the Role & Responsibilities

PwC UK is seeking a Law Firm Advisory Director to grow and lead our consulting work with law firms and professional services organisations. In this senior role, you’ll:

  • Originate and convert consulting opportunities with law firms and professional services clients, building trusted relationships with Managing Partners, COOs, CFOs, and other senior leaders
  • Shape and sell practical strategy & advisory propositions across:
    • Strategy & growth
    • Operating model transformation
    • Pricing & profitability
    • AI adoption
    • Deals & integration
  • Lead high-quality client delivery, integrating sector insight, commercial challenge, and tailored recommendations for leadership teams
  • Collaborate across PwC, combining expertise from Consulting, Deals, Tax, and Managed Services into cohesive client solutions
  • Drive thought leadership, participate in events, and share clear insights on the future of law firms
  • Coach and develop the team, enhancing PwC’s legal sector knowledge, proposal quality, and delivery capabilities

About You

This role is ideal for a senior legal sector operator or consultant with:

  • Deep understanding of the legal sector, including UK, international, and US law firm models
  • Strong network across senior law firm decision-makers—ideally including Managing Partners, COOs, CFOs, and strategy leaders
  • Proven ability to originate, shape, and sell advisory or transformation work
  • Director-level experience (or equivalent) in a law firm, consulting firm, professional services organisation, or legal sector business
  • Strong grasp of law firm economics, partner decision-making, pricing, profitability, operating models, and change dynamics
  • Track record leading or supporting complex programmes in transformation, growth, integration, or performance improvement
  • Confidence working with senior partners and executive teams, especially in high-stakes or sensitive situations
