The Opportunity
The LCU/R Quoting Specialist supports Trane Supply’s sales and customer service operations by crafting accurate, competitive, and timely quotes for Light Commercial Unit (LCU) and Residential (R) HVAC equipment. This role is critical to achieving profitability while delivering a high-caliber customer experience.
You’ll collaborate with Trane Supply branches, internal sales teams, and cross-functional teams to ensure quotes meet rigorous technical, pricing, and policy standards.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, prepare, and deliver comprehensive, high-accuracy quotes for LCU/R HVAC equipment based on customer specifications and technical requirements.
- Review RFQs (Requests for Quotation), equipment replacements, and customer needs to select appropriate products and pricing.
- Leverage Trane Supply systems, product selection tools, Salesforce, and CRM platforms for seamless workflow.
- Validate all quoted information, including:
- Pricing
- Equipment configurations
- Availability
- Freight details
- Lead times
- Warranty terms
- Ensure compliance with Trane Supply’s policies, price authority guidelines, and quoting standards.
- Partner with account managers, branch teams, and product support to resolve technical inquiries and verify equipment suitability.
- Interpret HVAC specifications, drawings, and schedules with precision to meet customer and market requirements.
- Balance workload and meet tight deadlines, ensuring quote turnaround efficiency while exceeding customer expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in quoting processes, tools, and templates—with a focus on enhancing the customer experience.
- Share domain expertise with internal teams to amplify Trane Supply’s effectiveness.

What You’ll Bring
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma required (associate or bachelor’s degree in *business, mechanical/building engineering, or a related field is preferred).
- Experience with:
- HVAC systems (commercial lightweight or replacement equipment is a plus).
- Technical quoting, sales support, or product validation.
- Proven technical aptitude to interpret:
- HVAC and mechanical specifications.
- Product drawings/photos.
- Application/Nominal work rates.
- Proficiency with:
- Salesforce and CRM tools.
- Microsoft Office (Excel recommended).
- Attention to detail: Even minor discrepancies from a technical stand-point may lead to over/under values in quotes.
- Strong customer service mentality with ex exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Annual Compensation Range
[Exception Hourly] $47,600.00 – $96,039.99/year (Salary may vary based on experience, location, education, and other individual factors.)
