LCV Fitter / LGV Mechanic (Sizewell C)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring vehicles remain safe, complaint and fully operational
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on LGVs, trailers and other fleet vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
  • Ensure all work meets DVSA, manufacturer and company compliance requirements
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks and defect rectification
  • Replace and repair components e.g. breaks, clutches, suspension, steering systems, gearboxes and engines
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve fault codes
  • Conduct roadside breakdown repairs when required
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Keep workshop and equipment safe, clean and well maintained
  • Follow safe systems of work

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds Light Vehicle qualifications (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MOT Tester licence (beneficial)
  • CSCS card

We are looking for an experienced and reliable LCV Fitter to inspect, maintain and repair a wide range LGV's. The successful candidate will have hands-on technical experience and the ability to work alone and part of a team. They will also have strong diagnostic skills and experience working on LGV's.
