L&D Knowledge Manager - Tech

We are supporting a global tech organisation.

6 months contract – 37.5 hours per week – £56.50 per hour Inside IR35 (£423.75 per day) – 2 days per week in the Manchester office for meetings

Minimum of 5 years of experience in L&D content / knowledge management or Mid level L&D Advisory field, with a proven track record of implementing successful knowledge management initiatives.

  • Skillset in both tech and L&D
  • Stakeholder management (effective communication and collaboration)
  • Attention to detail and process improvement
  • Innovative and forward-thinker
  • Experience with tech teams or specific experience (i.e. software engineering, project management, data)

What You'll Do:

As the L&D Knowledge Manager, you will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive knowledge strategies aligned with organisational goals. Your expertise will help manage dynamic knowledge repositories, facilitate engaging learning exchanges, and promote a vibrant culture of ongoing development. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, advising on content curation, promoting best practices, and continuously enhancing knowledge-sharing processes through innovative technology and data-driven insights.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in learning and development content or knowledge management, or mid-level L&D advisory roles, with proven success in implementing knowledge initiatives
  • Strong proficiency with knowledge management tools such as B.Learn, ServiceNow, Slack, and Confluence
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, map, and optimise learning content and repositories
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Tech-savvy background with experience in software engineering, data, or related fields preferred for tech-focused roles
  • Attention to detail and passion for process improvement and innovation

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with AI and machine learning applications in knowledge management
  • Advanced experience with content curation, community engagement, or learning platform analytics
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • Prior experience working in a multinational or complex organisational setting

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in related roles with a track record of successful knowledge management initiatives

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to occasionally travel to different company locations
  • Ability to liaise effectively with diverse teams and external vendors
  • A proactive, innovative mindset committed to continuous improvement
