Lead Agile Delivery Manager
BPSS (minimum) SC Clearance desirable
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne (preferred)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – On site 2/3 days a week
Compensation: £500 a day inside IR35
The successful candidate will provide strategic delivery leadership across multiple teams and workstreams, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure successful programme delivery through effective governance, planning, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of complex digital transformation initiatives across multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide delivery leadership and assurance across multiple workstreams.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Manage delivery governance, including RAID logs, dependency management, and risk mitigation.
- Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps, forecasts, reporting, and prioritisation activities.
- Drive collaboration across delivery, product, technical, and business teams.
- Ensure delivery outcomes align with programme objectives and ministerial commitments.
- Identify delivery risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Champion Agile best practices and continuous improvement across teams.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Lead Delivery Managers, Senior Delivery Managers, Delivery Managers, and Scrum Masters to improve delivery capability and maturity.

- Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary digital delivery teams.
- Strong senior stakeholder management experience, including engagement with Deputy Directors, Directors, and executive leadership.
- Expertise in delivery governance, RAID management, and dependency management.
- Experience in roadmap planning, prioritisation, forecasting, and executive reporting.
- Demonstrable experience delivering within complex government or highly regulated environments.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop delivery professionals.
- Strong track record of driving continuous improvement across teams and programmes.
