A leading global consulting firm is seeking a highly experienced Lead AI Architect to help shape and deliver enterprise-scale AI transformation programmes across the Capital Markets or banking sector.
This is a senior opportunity for someone who combines deep technical expertise in AI/ML architecture with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for delivering innovative, pragmatic solutions. You will play a key role in defining AI strategy, designing scalable architectures, and leading the successful implementation of cutting-edge AI and Generative AI solutions for major financial services clients.
The Role
You will lead the design and delivery of scalable AI architectures that integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise platforms, helping clients unlock value from AI, ML and GenAI technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining AI/ML/GenAI architecture strategies and implementation roadmaps aligned to client business and digital transformation goals
- Designing end-to-end AI architectures and scalable deployment models across enterprise environments
- Advising clients on suitable AI use cases and opportunities for enterprise-wide adoption
- Collaborating with Enterprise Architects, Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, DevOps teams and business stakeholders to shape and deliver solutions
- Selecting and implementing appropriate cloud, open-source and commercial AI technologies
- Leading the delivery and operational improvement of AI-powered applications using agile methodologies
- Ensuring AI solutions are secure, compliant, ethical and aligned with emerging regulatory standards
- Supporting business development activities including proposals, client presentations and go-to-market initiatives
- Leading and mentoring high-performing technical teams within a collaborative and inclusive environment

About You
You will bring significant experience in AI architecture and enterprise technology delivery within Financial Services, ideally with strong exposure to Capital Markets or banking environments.
You should demonstrate experience across:
- Enterprise and solution architecture within complex organisations
- Cloud-based AI/ML platforms including Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake, Dataiku or similar technologies
- Designing scalable and cost-optimised AI solutions using serverless, containerised and Kubernetes-based environments
- Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) deployment and hosting
- Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, semantic search and embedding techniques
- Python development and AI frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and LangChain
- MLOps frameworks and AI model lifecycle management
- API integration and enterprise-wide AI solution delivery
- Presenting architecture solutions to senior stakeholders, governance forums and architecture boards
