Role
Redefines the path to production using AI-enabled platform engineering
- Owns the design and delivery of modern developer platforms on AWS
- Drives policy-as-code adoption across both infrastructure and the SDLC
- Embeds AI tooling and automation to accelerate and govern the delivery lifecycle
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build AWS-native developer platforms that modernise the path to production
- Implement policy-as-code frameworks (e.g. OPA, AWS Config Rules) for infrastructure governance
- Extend policy-as-code principles into the SDLC (PR gates, compliance checks, pipeline guardrails)
- Integrate AI tooling to automate code review, security scanning, and deployment decisions
- Define and enforce golden paths for service onboarding, CI/CD, and infrastructure provisioning
- Build self-service developer tooling that reduces cognitive load and accelerates delivery
- Ensure secure, scalable AWS environments using IAM, VPC, SCPs, and infrastructure-as-code
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed platform standards across the delivery lifecycle

Required Experience
- Strong AWS platform engineering experience (CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform)
- Hands-on experience implementing policy-as-code (OPA, Sentinel, AWS Config, or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern path-to-production patterns
- Experience embedding governance and compliance controls into the SDLC
- Solid scripting / automation skills (Python and/or Bash)
- Proven ability to build and operate self-service internal developer platforms
- Experience with AI-assisted tooling or LLM integration in engineering workflows
- Strong security mindset with experience securing cloud-native, production-grade systems
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with AWS service control policies (SCPs) and organisation-level guardrails
- Experience with developer portals or IDP tooling (e.g. Backstage)
- Knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost governance
- Exposure to AI code assistants or AI-driven pipeline automation
- Experience with container orchestration (ECS, EKS) and serverless patterns
- Familiarity with software supply chain security (SBOM, SLSA, Sigstore)
- Background in platform or DevOps engineering within regulated or enterprise environment
