• Proven expertise in Python programming, with experience in building and maintaining production services using frameworks such as FastAPI or similar.
• Strong background in machine learning and computer vision, with a track record of deploying models into production environments rather than only developing prototypes or notebooks.
• Hands-on experience with computer vision training and labeling tools such as Roboflow, including dataset management and model evaluation.
• Practical knowledge of Azure AI services, including Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, or extensive experience with equivalent cloud AI stacks, with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.
• Understanding of working within regulated or compliance-sensitive environments, including data residency, de-identification, model governance, auditability, and explainability considerations.
• Strong problem-scoping skills, with the judgment to determine when a model is ready for deployment and when to iterate further.
• Proficiency in classical computer vision techniques, such as OpenCV, alongside deep learning methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Fine-tune, evaluate, and productionize multi-modal large language models for various business applications.
• Drive experimentation and rapid prototyping of advanced machine learning and AI techniques to innovate solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on guidance to the data science team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
