Lead AI Engineer
Lead AI Engineer – Embedded Client Delivery
Higher is working with one of the most technically serious enterprise AI companies in London to hire two Lead AI Engineers.
The company’s clients include Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, and Syneos Health, and their investors include the CEO of Revolut. They’re solving one of the hardest problems in enterprise software today.
The Problem They Are Solving
Most AI in the enterprise is merely cosmetic—think dashboards, copilots, and assistive tools that work alongside humans but don’t act independently. This company is building something different: Digital Workers, autonomous AI systems that execute complex knowledge workflows end-to-end with human-level reliability. Founded nearly a decade ago with over $50m in funding from the UK’s top VCs, their platform runs in production at global scale.
The Role
As a Lead AI Engineer, you will:
- Embed directly with enterprise clients
- Untangle their most complex operational workflows
- Architect intelligent, agentic systems capable of full-cycle automation
- Own delivery end-to-end, from architecture to production implementation
- Operate as a client-facing technical leader, demanding both deep technical expertise and leadership maturity

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
