Lead AI Engineer
Lead AI Engineer
Mission Statement & Summary
We’re hiring a Lead AI Engineer to own the design and delivery of AI systems across the business.
This is a hands-on role focused on building production-grade solutions using LLMs and agentic systems, embedding AI directly into core business processes—rather than prototyping in isolation.
You’ll take high-value business problems and turn them into scalable, reliable systems used in real workflows, driving measurable business outcomes.
You’ll have ownership of technical direction, architecture, and implementation, translating business priorities into robust, production-ready systems. You’ll make key technical decisions, collaborate with engineers, and deliver solutions that are reusable, scalable, and built for long-term impact.
How You’ll Contribute
- Own the technical direction, architecture, and implementation of AI systems end-to-end
- Design and build LLM-powered and agent-based solutions from concept to production
- Establish engineering standards, patterns, and reusable components across use cases
- Own key technical decisions on models, tooling, infrastructure, and system design
- Ensure systems are robust, observable, and production-ready (evaluation, monitoring, guardrails)
- Provide technical leadership and direction to engineers in AI initiatives
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
