We are seeking a - Lead AI Full‑Stack Engineer (LLM Products) As Lead Full Stack Engineer you’ll help turn cutting-edge AI into real products. You’ll lead the design and integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Machine Learning Models (MLM), build end-to-end AI-powered web applications (React, back end, cloud), and take full accountability from idea to production with strong MLOps/DevOps practices. It’s a role for someone who wants to lead a team, shape technical direction with architects and business stakeholders, and deliver innovative solutions that improve customer experiences, all while working at pace in an environment built for experimentation and impact. In this role you’ll: In this role, you will: Lead AI/LLM strategy and delivery: design, train, and integrate LLMs and AI technologies to enhance products and customer experience Lead and develop the team: mentor developers, build capability, and make strategic decisions aligned to HSBC’s AI agenda Own end-to-end product/service delivery: take accountability for solutions across the customer journey and choose the right technologies to meet needs Collaborate with stakeholders: work with engineers, architects, and business partners to shape direction, present effectively, and build strong working relationships Drive quality and support releases (DevOps): create test plans, ensure code quality via automation, and support DevOps through the release cycle Manage incidents and resilience: lead incident identification and resolution to meet resilience, sustainability, and recovery objectives To be successful in this role you should have the following skills: Excellent hands-on capability across front end and back-end (Python) services/APIs to deliver complete AI-driven web applications Experience designing, training, and integrating LLMs/AI technologies, including building predictive models and embedding AI into products Ability to operationalise solutions using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, and cloud deployment Proven capability designing complex, scalable enterprise solutions (ideally in a large organisation context) Experience leading/mentoring engineers and working closely with architects and business stakeholders, including clear communication and presentations Opening up a world of opportunity.
