McLaren Racing

At McLaren, our mission is to set the standard for high performance in sport. And everyone, in every part of the team, has a role to play. So if you want to test your ideas with the world watching... And measure your progress in milliseconds... And play your part in racing history... You belong here. High performance starts with you.

Purpose of the Role

McLaren Racing is transforming its Commercial & Marketing operating model to become more data-driven, automated and AI-enabled. As Lead, AI Transformation, you will define how AI is embedded across the future operating model, ensuring it is designed into processes, workflows and systems from the outset.

Working closely with Process Engineering and Technology Transformation teams, you will identify high-impact opportunities, shape practical use cases and drive the adoption of AI across workflows, decision making and automation.

This role sits at the intersection of business transformation, technology and operations, turning AI from concept into measurable business value.

Working alongside Process Engineering and Technology Transformation teams, you will ensure process, technology and AI capabilities come together to create a scalable, future-ready operating model. Together, these teams will simplify ways of working, improve decision making, embed intelligent automation and deliver measurable improvements across Commercial & Marketing.

What You'll Do

  • Define the role of AI within the future Commercial & Marketing operating model, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an AI roadmap that identifies where AI can deliver the greatest impact through automation, efficiency, insight and improved decision making.
  • Bring external perspective and best practice on emerging AI capabilities, trends and opportunities, championing AI as a strategic business enabler.
  • Partner with Process Engineering teams to analyse end-to-end business processes and identify opportunities for AI across workflow automation, decision support, personalisation, customer insight and content generation.
  • Assess and prioritise AI opportunities based on business value, technical feasibility and organisational readiness.
  • Translate business requirements into clearly defined AI use cases, including data requirements, expected outcomes, success measures and integration needs.
  • Ensure AI use cases are practical, measurable and aligned to current and future technology architecture.
  • Work closely with Technology Transformation teams to embed AI into platforms, systems and workflows rather than creating isolated point solutions.
  • Define how AI capabilities interact with enterprise data platforms, identity frameworks, marketing technologies and operational tools.
  • Support the translation of AI opportunities into delivery initiatives, working with internal teams, partners and vendors to validate and implement solutions.
  • Drive AI adoption through user engagement, training, change management and workflow integration, ensuring solutions move beyond experimentation into operational use.
  • Establish guardrails and standards for responsible AI, covering data usage, privacy, transparency, output quality and trust.
  • Ensure alignment with wider McLaren AI governance, policies and standards.
  • Build strong relationships across Commercial, Marketing, Technology and Transformation teams, translating complex AI concepts into clear business outcomes.
  • Provide recommendations to senior stakeholders on AI investment priorities, adoption opportunities, risks and implementation approaches.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
