Do you enjoy using data to uncover insights, optimise customer strategies, and influence key business decisions? Are you passionate about working with large datasets, building analytical solutions, and applying statistical techniques to drive customer engagement, profitability, and portfolio performance? If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex business problems, and can confidently translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations, we'd love to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone highly data-driven and technically strong - A true data manipulator with solid SQL skills, coding ability, and a sharp analytical mindset. You’ll need to be tech-savvy, ideally have experience in credit and knowledge of lending products, and be a natural problem solver who can quickly identify issues, understand the building blocks, and work towards effective solutions.
You’ll be joining a team of three: an Analytics Lead, Head of Analytics, and a Senior Analyst.
Who we are
Jaja is a UK-based consumer finance business with a simple mission: to empower customers to buy, borrow and build using smart tech, strong data, and clear design. We launched our digital credit card in 2018 and we’re continuing to grow, with new products and experiences in the pipeline. Our goal is to strip out unnecessary complexity and give people more control over their money — or as we put it, Make Simple. Our values guide how we work: Care Deeply. Adapt & Thrive. Challenge Everything. Go For It. Own It. Make It Simple. We’re scaling quickly, and there’s a lot of exciting change happening across the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Deepen Existing Customer relationships to drive positive customer engagement, improve profitability, and reduce losses.
- Run credit, pricing, and marketing strategies to achieve this goal.
- Deliver these strategies by using Python/R/SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau, to manipulate and analyse data on a day-to-day basis, working at the cutting edge of analytical and statistical techniques.
- Promote a test-and-learn approach, constantly challenging existing strategies and processes to find better outcomes.
- Providing the business with data-based insight and recommendations for changes and improvements, and see those all the way through to implementation on a wide range of things including: limit management, balance transfers, promotional campaigns, and general portfolio management.
- Utilise big data across multiple sources to enhance our relationships with our customers.
- Deeply analyse portfolio performance trends to ensure portfolio health is maintained when executing these strategies.
- Collaborate with other teams like Tech / DataOps / Commercial / Finance / Customer Service / Collections to ensure smooth delivery of strategies and correct outcomes’ forecast.
- Proactively identify gaps and potential risks in processes to maintain consistent adherence to high-quality standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
