We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Analytical Engineering and Reporting analyst to lead our Reporting team in M&S Online.
Leading by example, you’ll build and manage a high-quality Power BI estate, whilst owning the underlying M&S Online analyst data layer. Our report suite serves a cross-discipline business base spanning Operations, Brands, Commercial and Customer; enabling actionable reporting insight that drives decision.

What You’ll Do
Your key accountabilities will include
- Transform Data Engineering supplied data into reporting-ready datasets. Build API-driven data ingestion pipelines into the analytical layer
- Implement data validation and automation optimisation whilst ensuring consistency, scalability and governance in metrics and data
- Own our Power BI reporting suite - develop the semantic models and advance our AI aspirations whilst maintaining dashboard consistency, usability and performance
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable, and visually compelling reports to support leadership and operational decision making with timely, accurate reporting
- Develop and lead a team of analysts – drive a high-performance culture across the team and implement best in class process and standards
Who You Are
Your skills and experience will include
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset – owning and delivering analytical insight in both a reporting and non-reporting setting
- Proven track record of owning always on Reporting end-to-end - from framing, modelling, build and iterative improvement. You will have served an expansive and highly engaged audience with a suite of Power BI reports.
- Extensive experience working with large-scale Customer orientated datasets. Application of key analytical languages - SQL, PySpark, Python for analytics and automation. Power BI expert – Visualisation, DAX, Power Query
- Strong collaborator and communicator, comfortable working across Business Teams, Product Teams, Platforms and Engineering
- Team leadership and coaching – setting direction, leading by example and embedding a culture of continuous improvement
