Lead Appian Developer
Location: London, UK Work mode: 2–3 days weekly in-office
We welcome applications from experienced Appian professionals for the role of Lead Appian Developer at Coforge.
About the Role
We seek a seasoned Appian Lead with expertise in BPM application development and production support. The ideal candidate must combine technical proficiency with strong leadership to guide teams in delivering high-performance, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and production support of Appian-based BPM applications
- Oversee end-to-end application support, including:
- Monitoring, tracking, and reporting system performance
- Maintaining high availability, reliability, and performance in production environments
- Managing incident and problem resolution with root cause analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Drive system integrations (mobile, portal, and external APIs) on the Appian platform
- Mentor junior developers, enforcing adherence to best practices and industry standards

Technical Skills & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of Appian development and production support experience
- Appian L3 Certification (mandatory)
- Certified expertise in Appian 24.x or later
Core Proficiencies
- Development Framework:
- Appian Sites, Records, UX Design
- SAML and OAuth security integrations
- Custom plugin development
- Web & Data Technologies:
- REST/SOAP web services
- HTML, XML, JSON
- Relational databases: PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
- Architectural & Methodological Knowledge:
- Data modeling, database design, and SQL
- Appian architecture, BPMN 2.0 standards, and best practices
- Agile & Project Tools:
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or Rally
