LEAD ASSET DATA & INFORMATION ANALYST

Contract: Government

Location: Birmingham (B37 7YN)

Hours of work: 40 hrs per week

Contract Type: Permanent


We are seeking a Lead Asset Data & Information Analyst to lead the governance of asset changes and data updates within CMMS/CAFM systems, ensuring a controlled, risk-based and auditable process.

The role is responsible for maintaining asset data integrity through reconciliation and dependency checks, while enabling compliance and supporting lifecycle value realisation.

Job Description

This position plays a key role in producing dashboards to support decision-making, managing risks associated with data changes, and maintaining controlled and auditable information.

You will support asset data governance standards, monitor data quality and performance, and drive continuous improvement across asset data processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend, lead, and chair asset data change governance, technical, and operational meetings, taking ownership of decisions, actions, and outcomes
  • Manage, coordinate, and control asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM systems in line with governance, change control, and audit requirements
  • Validate and implement asset changes in accordance with maintenance standards, statutory requirements, and approved asset information
  • Own the integrity, accuracy, and suitability of the asset register across asset type, condition, and lifecycle stage
  • Lead reconciliation activities across systems, including dependency checks to ensure consistency and completeness of asset records
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for asset data changes, ensuring auditable evidence is produced
  • Manage the operational impact of asset changes, ensuring alignment with work orders and effective stakeholder communication
  • Ensure full governance and control of asset changes, maintaining documentation, approval, traceability, and auditability within systems

About You

  • Management experience within asset management, FM, or maintenance environments, with understanding of PPM regimes and asset data
  • Expert ability to coordinate and control asset data changes within CMMS/CAFM/EAM systems in a structured and auditable manner
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume structured data accurately
  • Confident collaborator, able to engage effectively with technical, operational, and governance stakeholders
  • Methodical and risk-aware approach with a strong focus on quality
