Lead AWS DevOps Engineer

Hybrid | 2 Days per Week in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham or Glasgow | Up to £77,500

We're looking for a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer to join a growing managed services function supporting the delivery and operation of secure, scalable cloud platforms. This is a senior technical leadership role for someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering expertise with architectural ownership, mentoring and stakeholder engagement.

You'll work closely with engineering teams, technical leaders and senior business stakeholders to shape cloud strategy, improve platform reliability and drive engineering excellence across complex AWS environments.

The Role

You'll lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices across multiple digital platforms. Balancing strategic technical leadership with hands-on engineering, you'll help teams build secure, resilient and highly automated environments while driving best practice across infrastructure, deployment and operational processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
