Backend Engineer – POS Integration & Cloud-Native Architecture

Backend & Integration Engineering

At On, retail isn’t just a channel—it’s an experience. As we scale our global footprint, we’re building the future-ready Point of Sale (POS) ecosystem. We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to orchestrate seamless integrations between physical stores and digital platforms, designing resilient systems that connect ERP, OMS, CRM, and loyalty engines—ensuring fast, reliable, and scalable retail operations.

You’ll join our Retail Experience team, where every integration matters. If you thrive on crafting clean APIs, optimizing performance, and solving real-world system challenges, apply today.

Your Mission

Backend & Integration Engineering

  • Design, build, and scale backend services that power POS integrations across ERP, eCommerce, CRM, inventory, and loyalty platforms
  • Develop REST and GraphQL APIs that are high-performance, secure, and easy to consume
  • Implement real-time and batch data synchronization, authentication flows (OAuth, SSO), and secure event pipelines

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
