About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead BMS Engineer, acting as our senior technical specialist for commissioning, fault-finding, programming, and support across Building Management System (BMS) projects. This hands-on technical role demands expert engagement to deliver onsite projects in the UK and internationally.
This is a technically challenging and entrepreneurial opportunity to leverage your deep expertise in meticulous problem-solving and solution ownership, both on and offsite.
Location: Primarily UK-based with UK и European travel requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Core Responsibilities
- Technical Specialisation Дuties
- Commission, optimise, and validate BMS systems at customer sites, ensuring alignment with specifications and operational requirements
- Debug and resolve complex hardware, software, and communication issues in BMS environments
- Develop, configure, and modify BMS software, control logic, and graphical user interfaces (GUIs)

Design and Robust Integration
- Contribute to system validation by designing and implementing test protocols, ensuring thorough functional assessment
- Map intuitive integration paths between BMS control systems, building services, and third-party solutions

Knowledge Sharing and Mentorship
- Provide technical consultation and best-practice sharing—guiding engineers, mentoring less-experienced peers
- Review project documentation (e.g., operation manuals, drawings) and adjust for scalability or ongoing support needs

Risk & Delivery Accountability
- Identify technology or process risks, advising mitigation strategies aligned with project goals
- Collaborate with Project Managers, commissioning engineers, and external service teams for seamless delivery
What We’re Looking For
Technical Experience & Skills
✅ Essential qualifications
- Proven 5+ years in BMS/Beratung Automation/HVAC Controls, including hands-on experience in:
- Commissioning and troubleshooting across mixed Bluetooth environments
- Software programming (e.g., logic templates, sequence configurations, HMI/UI design)
- Strong BMS hardware familiarity, including:
- Controller knowledge (master/slave, gateway functions)
- Networked field devices (e.g., VAVs, temperature/setpoints)
- Protocol proficiencies:
- BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON/SNMP, and N2
- Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering documentation (e.g., control schematics, P&IDs)
✅ Preferred (not mandatory but advantageous)
- Experience with Automated Logic’s (ALC) HVAC systems—specifically
AWeb Designer,AWebPassport, or device identity-focusing expertise - Exposure to our Triton and Autocloud suite is a strong plus
- Familiarity with other top platforms (e.g., Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Johnson Controls)

Compensation & Development
- Annual Salary Range: £60,509–£120,655 per annum, subject to qualifications/negotiation
