Summary
Shape procurement strategies across a broad range of technology categories while developing your expertise in a highly collaborative international environment. This role offers the chance to take ownership of significant procurement activity while building a long-term career within the defence sector.
Where you will work
Hybrid working in Hertfordshire, with a mix of onsite and remote working. Occasional UK and international travel may be required to support stakeholder and supplier engagement. This is a permanent role.
What you will be doing
- Leading procurement activities across technology and IT related categories
- Supporting sourcing strategies for software, hardware, cyber, networks and digital services
- Managing supplier engagement, negotiations and commercial agreements
- Building relationships with stakeholders across the UK and Europe
- Contributing to category management initiatives and procurement transformation activities
- Developing expertise across a diverse and evolving technology landscape

Your profile
- Procurement, purchasing or sourcing experience within indirect spend categories
- IT procurement experience or a strong interest in developing within IT procurement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver successful outcomes
- Experience working with suppliers, contracts and commercial negotiations
- MCIPS qualification, or a willingness to work towards it, would be beneficial
Essential requirements
- Experience within procurement, purchasing or sourcing environments
- Ability to manage and deliver complex procurement projects
- Comfortable working with internal stakeholders and suppliers across multiple locations
- Experience operating in an international or multi stakeholder environment is advantageous but relevant procurement experience is essential

£45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, with additional benefits including:
