About the Role
Set within 240 acres of stunning gardens, RHS Garden Wisley operates year-round, featuring a variety of restaurants and cafés. You will join a passionate team committed to providing exceptional guest experiences.
As the Lead Chef, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring quality, flavour, and presentation of all dishes meet RA Venues' high standards.
- Supporting allergen awareness through accurate handling and tracking.
- Visible leadership during service, embodying and promoting Wisley’s core values.
- Supporting seasonal menu innovation and new dish launches while maintaining high presentation standards.
- Engaging in food initiatives, including waste control, portion alignment, and adherence to recipes.
- Managing stock, ordering, rotation, and labour efficiency.
- Glausing FSMS (Food Safety Management System) documentation and ensuring team compliance.
- Supporting cost control through portioning and waste reduction.
- Maintaining audit readiness and hygiene standards.
- Leading team performance, delegation, and workplace mentorship.
- Fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.

The Ideal Candidate
- 2+ years of experience in a Lead/Chef de Partie (CDP) role or equivalent experience in busy commercial kitchens.
- Strong cooking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and allergens.
- Proven capability in high-volume operations.
