Key requirements:
- Lead the management, optimisation and ongoing support of complex AWS environments, ensuring cloud infrastructure remains secure, scalable and highly available while helping clear a backlog of cloud-related projects.
- Utilise AWS certifications and best practice knowledge to drive cloud governance, architecture decisions, operational improvements and adherence to organisational standards.
- Support and maintain existing VMware vSphere/virtual server environments, including troubleshooting, performance optimisation and integration with AWS-based infrastructure.
- Work closely with Cyber Security teams to implement security controls, remediate vulnerabilities, ensure compliance and embed security best practices across cloud and infrastructure platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, taking ownership of key projects, coordinating stakeholders and guiding the team through infrastructure upgrades, migrations and operational challenges.
