Lead Commercial Finance Business Partner

We are looking for a Lead Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our Finance & Procurement community at Harrods. You will be part of a high performing evolving team with a clear vision for the future.

About the Role

As Lead Commercial Finance Partner, you will act as the strategic finance leader for your business areas, operating as a true “mini CFO” with financial accountability for shaping and guiding commercial decisions, influencing senior stakeholders, and holding the business to account for sustainable, profitable growth.

You will bring forward-looking, insight-led perspectives, ensuring Finance is embedded at the centre of the most critical commercial decisions. You will drive a holistic, value-focused agenda, aligning performance, investment and strategy to maximise long-term value creation.

About You

You’ll be professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with extensive experience in Commercial Finance / FP&A, with a proven track record of influencing decisions and delivering impact at Director and C-suite level. You’ll have Demonstrated ownership of divisional performance, driving outcomes across sales, margin, cost and investment. You’ll have outstanding commercial instinct, consistently translating complexity into clear strategic choices and actions that unlock value.

You’ll be a Trusted advisor to senior leadership, confidently challenging thinking and influencing high-stakes decisions with clarity and authority. It’s desirable you’ll have experience in retail, consumer or omni-channel environments highly advantageous.

As part of the role, you’ll Lead and develop a high-performing team (1–3 direct reports), setting a clear vision, pace and standard of delivery. You’ll also build a strong succession pipeline, identifying and developing talent through stretch opportunities, exposure to senior stakeholders and ownership of complex, high-impact work.

In addition you will have the behaviours:

  • Leads from the front as a visible and trusted finance leader, embedding a strong culture of partnership, ownership and accountability within the business
  • Creates and sustains a high-performance culture, setting the tone for pace, focus and delivery, and role-modelling what excellence looks like
  • Builds a culture of constructive challenge, where ideas are tested, assumptions are questioned, and better decisions are reached through open dialogue
  • Role-models and reinforces high standards (“Raise the Bar”), continuously elevating the quality of thinking, insight and delivery across the team and wider organisation
  • Acts as a true team player, prioritising collective success over individual outcomes and collaborating seamlessly across Finance and the wider business
