About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About The Role

This role will serve as Ramp's first international legal counsel in London, providing day-to-day support on product, regulatory, commercial, employment, corporate, and operational issues as Ramp builds out its European presence. They will partner closely with the U.S. Legal and Compliance teams to ensure consistency across jurisdictions while adapting Ramp's approach to local law and market practice. This is a hybrid role suited to someone comfortable moving between regulatory work and broad-based business/operational counsel in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

  • Advise on legal and regulatory matters across Ramp’s UK and EU financial technology operations, including payment services licensing, commercial, and data protection matters.
  • Negotiate and draft commercial agreements supporting European operations, including bank-partner arrangements and customer-facing terms tailored to local law requirements.
  • Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Marketing teams to structure and launch new products, payment flows, and international-market expansions.
  • Build practical, scalable legal processes, templates, training, and issue-escalation frameworks that enable the international organization to move quickly while managing legal and regulatory objectives.
  • Support corporate expansion activities, including entity formation and governance, local hiring and employment matters, and coordination with external counsel across relevant jurisdictions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
