SOCOTEC’s Infrastructure team delivers essential technical services to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of major construction and civil engineering projects across the UK. Our services include:
- Independent construction materials testing (strength, durability, and performance verification)
- Foundations and pile testing to confirm ground stability
- Specialist structures and pavements assessment and analysis
- Integrated geotechnical and structural monitoring for real-time project data
- Support from initial site investigation through construction and long-term performance

As a Lead CP Driller, you’ll play a vital role in our Geotechnical team, working both independently and as part of a dynamic team. While your tasks may involve repeating key procedures daily, every project and location will be unique—meaning no two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll ensure that all fieldwork adheres to technical specification. Core duties include:
- Advancing boreholes to site-specific specifications
- Collecting samples as instructed
- Installing monitoring instruments into boreholes
- Reinstating completed boreholes to meet client requirements
