Lead Data Strategy Analyst - AVP
Marshall Wolfe are hiring on behalf of our client within the finance industry, for a Lead Data Strategy Analyst to join a high-performing analytics team focused on delivering strategic insight, driving transformation, and supporting senior stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.
📍This role can be based in Northampton or Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities
- Develop analytical models and frameworks to support strategic decision-making
- Deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on transformation and analytics initiatives
- Support business improvement through data interpretation and strategic recommendations
- Ensure strong data quality, governance, and control practices
- Contribute to project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior team members and support collaborative team delivery

Requirements
- Proven experience in analytics, data science, research, or decision intelligence roles
- Experience with Python, R, SQL
- Strong mathematical background and experience with classical statistical methods (inference, hypothesis testing, regression, etc.)
- Financial services or consulting background preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of machine learning, AI, or data governance frameworks
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
